Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer

2025 represents the 75th anniversary of this global movement, and we praise God for this legacy of impact. We are focusing our hearts and minds on the theme "Living the Good News" taken from Luke 4:18-19.

In a world where many remain unreached with the Gospel, we have both an opportunity and a responsibility to live the Good News in our homes, churches, communities, and countries. Join with sisters and brothers worldwide on Monday, November 3, or a day of your choosing for this strategic time of prayer.

Director of Global Events Job Opening

As the Director of Global Events, you will be instrumental in creating impactful experiences that help the BWA fulfill its mission to "Network the Baptist World for Christ."

As the linchpin of our event planning and execution efforts, the Director of Global Events is responsible for orchestrating all aspects of events from conception through to completion. This dynamic role requires a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and exceptional organizational skills to ensure that each event both aligns with the vision and goals for that event and delivers an unforgettable experience for participants.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and results-oriented approach to lead and drive the production of high-quality events that help advance our mission. With a strong focus on implementation, as well as innovation, this position is responsible for ensuring successful event execution – including logistical preparation, vendor management, speaker (and presentation) coordination, registration, participant liaison, internal team leadership and cooperation, employing exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

A Prayer for Peace

O God, save our shores from the weapons of death,

our lands from the things that deny our young ones love and freedom.

Let the seas of the Pacific Ocean carry messages of peace and goodwill.

Turn away from our midst any unkind and brutal practices.

Let each child swim and breathe the fresh air

that is filled by the Holy Spirit.

O Lord Jesus, bless all who are makers of that inner peace

that breaks down the barriers of hatred,

and unite us with the open arms of your cross,

that all the peoples of the world may live happily together.
