Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer

We give thanks for the thousands of women who united in prayer over the last week for the 75th Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer. We believe the world changes when women pray, and we are grateful for the impact of our global sisterhood praying faithfully and giving generously in support of ministry projects around the world. It's not too late to join in this prayer initiative. Click below to access Day of Prayer resources for your local gathering or personal intercession.

Praying for the Caribbean

Our sisters and brothers across the Caribbean are facing immense hardship in the wake of Hurricane Melissa – a Category 5 storm with winds reaching 185 mph. The devastation in Jamaica and Cuba is widespread with homes, hospitals, churches, and schools severely damaged and vital infrastructure crippled by power outages and communication loss. The BWA calls our global family to unite in prayer and action, standing together in faith and compassion. As we trust in God’s sustaining care, we invite you to lift up our Caribbean family and respond with generosity.

A Prayer from The Philippines

Blessed are you, God of the Universe.

Lord, make us realize that our Christianity is like a rice field: when it is newly planted the paddies are prominent, but as the plants take root and grow taller, these divided paddies gradually vanish, and soon there appears only one vast continuous field. So give us roots that love, and help us grow in Christian fellowship and service, that your will be done in our lives,

through our Saviour, your Son, Jesus Christ.
