Dear partners,

We are happy to update you on what we are doing at Shepherd Society, and to remain in close connection with you.

• 31% unemployment rate in Palestine, leaving many individuals and families without a stable source of income. 108 individuals and families have secured employment opportunities through Shepherd Society’s job creation program over the past three months; however, many of these positions have now come to an end, and the need for employment remains urgent.
• 81 people are currently on our waiting list, still hoping for a job opportunity.

Behind these numbers are real people seeking to support themselves and their families, including Issa, whose life was impacted through this program, reflecting the impact of one employment opportunity.

• For those who have lost their jobs and are facing financial hardship.
• For young people and graduates searching for their first opportunity.
• For families struggling under the pressure of unemployment and difficult economic conditions.
• For employers and businesses to create new job opportunities in our communities.
• For the Family-to-Family Sponsorship Program.
• For the Medical Support Program, which has helped 650 cases and is still ongoing.

• For the Small Projects Program.
• For the Summer Camp for children (two camps: one for Yarn and one for tour guide training).
• For the continued provision of Hot Meals for families in need, serving 107 meals weekly.
• The educational program will continue to address learning gaps, supporting around 80 students in Arabic and English, along with the ongoing “Amal” psychosocial support program for teachers and children.
