Praying for Peace in Ukraine
Pope Francis has called upon all members of the human family to make March 2 – Ash Wednesday – a day of prayer and fasting for peace in Ukraine.

The gospels, Catholic social teachings, and our Notre Dame de Namur Hallmarks speak strongly of the dignity and protection of human life and the promotion of peace. May we stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Ukraine by calling for an end to the crisis and by raising our voices in prayer for peace in the region.
Glimpses of God's Goodness are published for all Sundays and Feast Days at www.sndden.org, the international website of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

Sisters Unite to Combat Human Trafficking
A gathering of Catholic sisters representing 45 religious communities was convened in Zambia by Sister Eucharia Madueke, SNDdeN, the Women’s Empowerment Project coordinator of the Africa Faith and Justice Network in Washington, D.C.

The workshop revealed that awareness of human trafficking in Zambia is very low, so the sisters developed advocacy plans. They then spoke on radio talk shows, participated in panel discussions on popular radio stations and held press conferences.
