CDP Opens Pre-Application for Small Business
CDBG Grant and Loan Funds

If you own a business in one of the eight Lower Cape towns (Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, Provincetown), you might qualify for a Microenterprise grant or loan up to $10,000.

Other qualifications include: Business Owner's Household Adjusted Gross Income below 80% AMI (See chart on application related to family size) and have 5 or fewer Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Employees, including the owner. What is FTE? Many of our local seasonal businesses have fewer than 5 employees when you calculate those jobs on a full time annual basis. One FTE is equal to two or more employees whose total hours worked is at least 30 per week for 50 weeks.

This program is funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds administered by the Massachusetts Dept. of Housing and Community Development. This program is pending approval from DHCD. If approved, we would anticipate funding in late July. Pre-applications will be reviewed on a first come first serve basis. Submit your pre-app today to Jason Bertrand at the CDP via email or mail to
