Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Portions of Flamingo Park Neighborhood

December 14, 2024

Yesterday evening, a 16-inch water main ruptured at the intersection of 8 Street and Jefferson Avenue. Due to the drop in water pressure, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice is currently in effect for 5 - 10 streets, between Michigan and Meridian avenues.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until drinking water test results pass for two consecutive days, as per Florida Administrative Code. Testing will be conducted daily.

Residents, visitors, and businesses are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking/food preparation, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

The City of Miami Beach will notify residents and businesses when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
