Preliminary Rate Notice, GASB 50 available April 2

On Monday, April 2, IMRF will release your employer's 2019 Preliminary Contribution Rate Notice . This notice provides your employer's estimated 2019 Annual Contribution Rate for its IMRF plans, and is necessary for financial planning, accounting, and reporting purposes. You can read more about this notice in General Memo 676.

IMRF will also release your employer's 2017 Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) 50 Footnote Disclosure Statement, on Monday, April 2.

Both the 2019 Preliminary Rate Notice and 2017 GASB 50 footnote disclosure will be available in the 'Display Annual Documents' section of Employer Access.

Register today for Employer Rate Meeting

Registration is open for IMRF's 2018 Employer Rate Meetings. Held at various locations throughout the state, these meetings will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers. IMRF Executive Director Brian Collins and Chief Financial Officer Mark Nannini will conduct the meetings.

IMRF encourages Authorized Agents, chief financial officers, governing body members, and all other officials and interested parties from your employer to attend the meeting scheduled in your area. Review the complete meeting schedule here.

Advance registration is requested for the Employer Rate Meetings. Authorized Agents and Web Assistants may log in to their Employer Access account to self-register.

Employer Survey to release April 2

On Monday, April 2, Authorized Agents and Web Assistants will receive an email with a link to complete the 2018 First Quarter Employer Survey. The survey centers on the Accelerated Payment process and should take less than five minutes to complete.

Thank you for your ongoing participation in IMRF's quarterly employer surveys. Based on responses to the 2017 survey series, we will continue the quarterly survey schedule this year. Your responses are important for helping IMRF implement procedures and improvements that further its mission of providing the highest quality retirement services to you and your members.

IMRF Authorized Agents and Web Assistants are encouraged to complete the survey by Monday, April 16, at 4 PM.

Register for an Authorized Agent Certification Workshop

IMRF's Authorized Agent Certification Workshops provide an opportunity for new and veteran Authorized Agents to learn more about IMRF procedures, changes to the Illinois Pension Code, tasks necessary for local administration of IMRF, and other topics that impact member benefits. Continental breakfast and a light lunch will be provided at each session.
