FROM THE DIRECTOR'S DESK
Although for the first time in 54 years BUTI will not be in residence at Tanglewood this summer, we will still be doing our part to help young musicians grow. Learn more about what's in store for the BUTI community this summer from Executive Director, Hilary Field Respass.
BUTI STUDENT VAULT
The BUTI Student Vault is designed for our students, aimed at inspiring and helping them continue to grow. Throughout the summer, we will continue to add information pertaining to skill development, college resources, health & wellness, and more. Continue to check the vault for more!
BU TANGLEWOOD INSTITUTE INNOVATION FUND
Established in Spring 2020 with a generous gift from Advisory Council member David Bear and his wife Laurie Hammer, the new BU Tanglewood Institute Innovation Fund will be used to advance technology needs and innovation at BUTI, with a focus on enhancing student learning and performance.
A TRIBUTE TO
LYNN HARRELL
(1944-2020)
All of us at Boston University Tanglewood Institute are saddened by the news of Mr. Harrell's passing. We are honored to have welcomed the acclaimed cellist as a 2017 Visiting Artist. Ken-David Masur (BUTI'96), alumnus and conductor of the Young Artists Orchestra during Mr. Harrell's residency, reflects on his legacy and their relationship.
In spite of COVID-19 related cancellation, BUTI needs operating support to continue its work in 2020 and to support programs and scholarships for Summer 2021. Thank you for your ongoing support of life-changing music learning!
