Gulf for Good Rocks Record for Children in Need
Multi-award winning rock band, The Boxtones, has partnered with G4G to release their music video 'Humanity' today at 3pm UAE time, to raise money to help children in need.

"As humanity faces one of the most challenging years of our times due to the pandemic, we have partnered to release this wonderful song to spread the message of solidarity and hope for a better future, which we are committed to through helping children in need.
We at Gulf for Good, believe every child has the right to a happy and sustainable life. We believe in education for all children, no matter of creed, colour or gender. This song is a representation of that commitment. We hope to welcome the support of people in the UAE, share awareness and help raise as much money for children in need around the world as we can."
Anne Edmondson, Chairwoman of G4G

"Humanity is a song about hope. We wrote the song before the pandemic of 2020 to spread our message of hopeful solidarity between people of different race, class and gender. We voiced our message through the children of Dubai, from all ethnicities and walks of life, in the music video we created to support the track.”

Project Update: RAEY of Hope Children's Charity, Ethiopia
Nine years ago, G4G held its first trek through the Simien Mountains of Ethiopia, a trip of a lifetime. From the funds raised, a new school was built on rare land in Yerer, a built-up area in Addis Ababa. RAEY has worked solidly with a core group of teachers, cooks and janitors, to move from 50 children to 500 - a fantastic result.

All children continue to receive two nutritious meals a day, uniforms and school supplies. There is an additional family crisis support fund for those in desperate need of housing and medical support.
Over the years RAEY has;
  • continued regular medical care
  • improved sanitation
  • integrated water systems
  • created vegetable gardens
  • provided education to more than 990 students with over 300 in our graduate programme

RAEY are committed to finding activities which combine skill acquisition, empowerment and employment that could result in self-sustainability.

"We have in total, supported over 3000 which is inclusive of students, guardians and siblings to live lives beyond imagination. Our students, nurtured and supported are going to be powerful next generation and we have so much more we want to achieve. We are eternally grateful for the G4G trek which really changed everything for us at RAEY and will never forget the team."
Dr Carolyn Roesler, Project Coordinator, RAEY
