Everything is happening at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo presented by VA Runner at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center on Fri., May 18 (noon to 7 p.m.) and Sat., May 19 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.). Expo opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Visit VA Runner and other feature booths including Mary Washington Healthcare , Navy Federal Credit Union and Amtrak .
Bring the e-Card to Packet Pick-up at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo on a smartphone or printed version. Receive the bib with timing device, competitor shirt and event program. Can't make it? Info about Proxy Pick-up will be detailed on the e-Cards that will be sent by email on May 9. e-Cards include bib number assignements.

Digital Program
Read the digital version of Glory, the official Historic Half event program, before receiving your keepsake copy at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo. Transportation, course maps, runner reminders, profile stories and more make this a must-read for anyone participating in "the greatest half in history."
The Historic Half apparel store will feature designs and colors inspired by the patriotic theme including Devil Dog, Hospital Hill and 13.1 items. This year, the Historic Half store will also feature Brooks apparel. While supplies last, runners who purchase a pair of Brooks shoes or a Brooks sports bra at the Expo will receive a free gift.     
Historic Half participants will park in Central Park. Semper 5ive and Devil Dog runners will park near their event start and get shuttled back from the finish. Take time now to understand the transportation plans. Plus there are  free downtown shuttles on Saturday during the Expo and Sunday for spectators during the run. 
Bag check for the Historic Half is located in the Expo Center parking lot. Semper 5ive and Devil Dog participants may check bags until 6:30 a.m. near the event start. Bags will be relocated to the finish line for pick up after a successful run.

Look for the Pohanka Nissan cheer vehicles at the Expo and on course. These vehicles will feature personal shoutouts to Historic Half runners. Maybe you! Runners who find their name on a vehicles should visit the Pohanka expo booth. #PohankaNissanHistoricHalf 
Start Times
Devil Dog Double begins at the Semper 5ive start line in downtown Fredericksburg at 6:40 a.m. The Semper 5ive launches at 7 a.m. The Historic Half will start at 7 a.m. near Wegmans. Half starting ceremonies will include a diamond formation flyover. Devil Dog runners must finish in a 10 minute per mile pace to reach the turnaround located at the finish line and begin the 13.1 mile portion.  
Plan a visit to the shops, restaurants and sites of downtown Fredericksburg . On Saturday, May 19, a free trolley shuttle will run from the Expo to three Downtown spots from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Run the Half, Double or 5ive, then sign up for the three other designated MCM Events in 2018 to earn the coveted Distinguished Participant medal.  Register for either Run Amuck or Belleau Wood 8K in June; the Quantico Tri or 12K in August; and the Turkey Trot in November.
Limited entries remain for Historic Half Weekend events. Spread the word and let running buddies and aspiring athletes know.

The Marine Motivation Zone will debut at mile 12 of the 2018 Historic Half course and will pay tribute to Marines past and present, historical and personal. Marine Corps flags will decorate the road and photo tributes of Marine leaders throughout history intermingled with images of Marines nominated by participants.
Many volunteer positions remain available for Historic Half Weekend, especially at Packet Pick-up during the Expo. Work alongside the men and women of the Marine Corps and support the runners. 
The messiest, muddiest event features more than 25 wild obstacles, foam zones and mud pits. Join the wild fun on June 23 aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. 

On the 100th anniversary of the battle that earned the Marines the “Devil Dogs” nickname, run 4.97 miles through the woods at Quantico on June 23. All finishers earn a limited edition challenge coin.  Register now.
Swim the Potomac, bike 20K and run 5K across Quantico on August 25 in the Quantico Tri. Great technical shirts and unique finisher medals. 

The right distance at the right time-August 25. The 7.45 mile run offers unique access to the Marine Corps Base on a course through Officer Candidate School. 
The 6.2 mile run starts on the National Mall and finishes at the Marine Corps War Memorial alongside the MCM.  Register for the MCM10K to be held on Sunday, October 28.
