State Chamber Update
In the last week, some of you have asked what is being done in response to the Coronavirus here in Delaware. In context, however, health officials are quick to remind everyone that the seasonal flu is important and it’s not too late to get a flu shot if you or your colleagues have not already done so.

At the workplace, reviewing your plans for interruptions that may occur because of supply chain delays or illness is a good idea. In addition, you could consider more frequent cleaning of common surfaces to further limit the spread of germs, including regular handwashing. Policy makers should be looking at emergency funding options, telemedicine and robust communications plans to keep the public informed with accurate status updates and actions.  In Delaware, here is the Department of Public Health website that is updated frequently with virus related data and steps people should be taking to limit its spread.
