Prepare for Online Worship

Today is Baptism of the Lord Sunday. We will reaffirm our own baptism, as well. Prepare a bowl or cup of water.

Prepare Your Space:
  • prepare a bowl or cup of water.
  • minimize distractions online and around you
  • open up or print out your worship guide
  • light all the candles on your Advent wreath
  • pray for your pastor!

Children in Need of Foster Homes
I was contacted by a local Court Appointed Guardian ad litem regarding some local children in need of foster homes.

There are two pressing needs:
- a family of three older children, a boy and two girls, ages 15, 13, and 11
- a 3 year old girl with Down's Syndrome and possibly her brother

Please prayerfully consider if you feel called to be a foster family or if there is someone you know in the community who may be interested.
Contact me if you'd like more information or if you'd like the contact information for the Guardian ad litem.

We will continue to meet virtually for worship and small groups via Zoom and Facebook.

Exploring Spiritual Practices

We practice spiritual disciplines so that when difficult times arise, we have tools to keep us grounded in peace, hope, joy, and love. Click here to watch.

Over the course of the week, if you are in need of comfort and worship, "visit" some of the other Alaskan United Methodist churches to watch their worship services. Click here to see the list of churches offering online worship.
