Greetings!

I hope your high school journey is wrapping up well, and that you’re looking forward to your time at Wake with excitement!

Just this past week, most members of the Class of 2029 moved out, and already our partners are at work in our communities, beginning to prepare your future home in The Forest

Today, we have a few important reminders and an update on our popular summer webinar.

Housing 101 for Incoming Students and Families

Join us on May 20 at 12 p.m. EST to learn more about the housing assignment process and what to expect when you receive your assignment in early June.

Registration is required for this webinar.

Important Reminders

Housing Application Deadline

  • June 1 is quickly approaching; be sure to complete your application and make any necessary changes by this date.

Required Items

Single Rooms

  • Because first-year students will be housed in Kitchin and Poteat Halls this year, more single rooms will be available than in past years.
  • Please note that students may be assigned to a single room even if it is not their preference.
  • Still deciding whether to request a single? A single room can offer added privacy, independence, and flexibility in your daily routine. While having a roommate can be a meaningful part of the residential experience, many students also find that living in a single provides a positive and comfortable environment.

If you have questions along the way, don’t forget our website housing.wfu.edu/incoming and know that we’re here to partner with you—feel free to reach out at housing@wfu.edu or 336.758.5185.

Looking forward to welcoming you home to The Forest!
