Dear Friends,
We are looking forward to spending the Yamim Noraim/Days of Awe of 5783 with you.

We are sending the High Holy Day bulletin again with some updates.

High Holy Day Nametags
Pre-printed nametags will be given to you once you arrive at Mount Zion for your first service. This year we are not sending them in the mail. Please wear your nametag whenever you are in the building and return the holder after the last service you attend. Nametags help create community and provide security during the High Holy Days. As in years past, guests are welcome to be part of our High Holy Day services and programs. Guests can sign up here.

In-person and Online Services
All services will be inside this year. To help with ventilation, we will be circulating fresh air into the sanctuary. This may mean a cooler temperature, so please bring a sweater! All services can be accessed online. Please see the schedule for Zoom links and to see which events are livestreamed and accessible through our website. Questions about accessing online services? Contact Shai Avny at [email protected].

Food Shelf Collection on Yom Kippur
Don’t forget to bring food for the Food Shelf on Yom Kippur. Our food drive is needed more than ever. As well, our financial contributions to the Yom Kippur Fast Appeal is something we ask of all members so that we can give collectively in Mount Zion’s name to the community.

Deadlines for Sign-ups!
  • Yizkor Memorial Book sign up deadline Wednesday, September 21. See your personalized email or contact [email protected].
  • Sign up for childcare for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to guarantee your spot. Otherwise it will be on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Order a lulav and etrog by this Sunday, September 11.

May 5783 be a year of health, joy, and resilience!
