Crayons, Pencils and Scissors, Oh My!
Give your child plenty of opportunities to use different tools to color, draw, write, cut and paste. This may mean putting technology away and using hands to explore. Materials like playdough will also help your child develop the hand strength needed for handwriting. Your child will feel better about kindergarten when they are prepared for these fine motor tasks.
