We're guessing you’re excited about what makes St. Genevieve unique. Innovative learning programs such as our Math Academy, English Academy or JOURNEYS in Character Education are what heads up a challenging college preparatory learning experience. Add to this extensive co-curricular activities and an environment marked by care and respect and the result is more than just an academic institution. The result is an unforgettable experience that will prepare students for life after high school.

As 7th and 8th graders, the decision to choose a high school is one of the most important choices they have ever made — one that will have a profound effect on their future. It is a decision which requires careful thought.

At St. Genevieve, we invite students and parents to visit us and see firsthand what the school is all about.

High School Placement Test
Prep Course

St. Genevieve High School wants to make sure you are prepared to face the questions on the High School Placement Test (HSPT) with confidence.

We offer a (1) week comprehensive course for HSPT preparation. The course begins Saturday, January 5, 2022. Students will attend 8 class periods and will have a chance to take 1 practice exam. Cost for the HSPT Prep Course is $200.00. Students who register for the prep-course get their application fee of $100.00 waived.

Why is the HSPT so important:

  • The HSPT is the most important test 8th graders will take to get into high school.
  • This test is required by most Catholic high schools.
  • Students who take the prep-course score an average of 1 grade equivalent higher than they did on the practice exam.
  • Average score increases are about 15% higher on each of the 5 sections.
  • Students who score high on the HSPT will definitely catch the attention of school Admissions Committees, improving their chances of selection at the high school of their choice.
