The tremendous showing of support during this Passover Food Relief efforts has not only touched the lives of families in Israel, but moved people to send in their own messages of thanks. Here is a message from Rabbi Steinhardt in Boca Raton, FL.
STUDENTS STILL HAVING FUN AND SMILING AT HOME

This is a very serious time we are all are going though but our youth ALWAYS find a reason to smile and have fun.

In Leah's household, our Director at our ITECenter in Arad, her children are practicing outside but her daughter, Raz, just can't help but feel the music and dance!

We hope her joy brings a smile to your face and helps you to find your own reason to dance or to find something to bring happiness into your heart at this much needed time.

Hans Felius, our ITEC National Tennis and Social Impact Director, continues to document his experiences, especially the time leading up to Passover. Here are a few entries from his journal, "Holding Serve," from last week:

April 2, 2020
"Every day we get new points of view in this ITEC Corona crisis. As we started our third week at home, humor surfaced that will bring a big smile on your face! The subject belongs to an end-of-the-week feeling, but our Jaffa staff made something special out of it: Enjoy! http://youtu.be/CRqALTUSa-Y

We love to call the Israel Tennis & Education Center in Arad a “flower in the desert”. And this flower blossoms every day, because we are so lucky to have Leah there as a beacon of hope! In a small center, like Arad, the CM has to take care of literally everything and Leah is doing just that with lots of love and energy for everybody around her. She created a dedicated staff around her, teaches tennis, educates the students, talks to parents, does all the administration, plans and organizes. Although all the staff is home on unpaid vacation, all coaches stayed in contact with the Arad children and almost from the start everybody began daily exercises. By now all coaches are producing videos, giving live Zoom training, are encouraging the children to follow mental training, have a daily routine, stay positive during this crisis, do their homework and be sure they will come better and stronger out of this crisis.

"We keep on doing our best to bring tennis & educational activities to our ITEC family in order to lift spirits, keep moral high, keep on exercising, keep on learning and in general feel well and connected. We got a lot of positive comments on the live Zoom sessions: to see each other doing the same thing at the same time, doing either tennis or fitness exercises, mental training, learning English, doing Yoga or Pilates, gives very positive energy.

Last week the Academy girls started with live Zoom training as well and it improved the group dynamic and feeling of being together a lot. CLICK HERE to see a video from over the weekend the girls and their coaches made, hitting the tennis ball around the country!"
