Hello from Culver Summer Schools & Camps!

We hope that you and your family are having a great school year. While summer feels far away, things are in full swing here in the Summer Schools & Camps Admissions Office as we prepare to welcome campers for another summer. We wanted to send a few quick reminders as you and your family begin to prepare to spend a summer here at Culver:

Camp Registration Details will be shared in the coming weeks regarding camp registration. Please note that there will be some changes in comparison to previous years and we thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility. Returning campers, boys and girls participating in the Naval Band, and campers using Culver’s transportation will arrive on Friday, June 18. New campers coming with parents/guardians will arrive on Saturday, June 19.

Airport Options for Arrivals and Departures Culver will be servicing three airports this summer for arrivals and departures from camp: Chicago O'Hare, Chicago Midway and Indianapolis. Please keep this in mind as you begin to make your travel plans for the summer.

Important Reminders for Campers Using Culver Transportation Culver observes Eastern time (the same time as New York City). Chicago observes Central time (one hour behind Culver time). Please purchase a round-trip ticket for your camper that is using Culver transportation. Both arrival and departure plans must be completed in advance. Culver cannot guarantee the availability of transportation on any dates other than the designated June 18th and July 31st travel dates.

Arrival to Culver Please schedule your camper’s flight to arrive at the airport on Friday, June 18th between the hours of 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET. Please note that Chicago is on Central Time and Indianapolis is on Eastern Time. We recommended that all campers flying alone register with the airline as an Unaccompanied Minor. Each airline has its own restrictions, age limits, fees, and payment methods. If you choose not to use the Unaccompanied Minor Service offered by the airline, please have the airline note that you would like your child to be picked up at the gate by a Culver summer staff member. Upon departing the plane, campers that are flying as unaccompanied minors will be met at the gate by a Culver staff member. Campers who are not flying as unaccompanied minors must proceed directly from the gate to the baggage claim, where Culver staff will be stationed wearing maroon staff polo shirts with the Culver logo.

Departure from Culver *Please note that campers will be departing on Saturday. Please schedule your camper's flight to depart the airport on Saturday, July 31 between the hours of 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Please note that all campers leaving before 5:00 PM ET/4:00 PM CT may not be able to attend the graduation ceremonies. The last day of camp this summer is on Saturday, July 31. All campers are required to leave campus on Saturday, July 31.

Airport Bus Transportation Families have the option of using Culver transportation for campers arriving and departing by themselves. An additional fee is billed to your Tuition Account for this transportation.  Trips to Chicago and Indianapolis: $160 each way to/from Chicago O'Hare, Chicago Midway or Indianapolis on June 18th (between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET) and July 31 (between 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET)
