VELVET STOCK, FOIL-EMBOSSED LABEL HELPS WINE BOTTLE SHINE

Multi-Color Corporation teamed up with Penrose Hill, of Sonoma County, California, to produce an ingenious label for the winery’s Gilded Letter Cabernet Sauvignon. MCC used 155 lb. flocked black velvet stock in addition to gold and copper foil in a thin and intricate design.

An embossed image can be as simple as one level or as complex as several levels, commonly known as a multi-level emboss. Multi-level embossing takes the process of pressing an image into paper using a die and a counter, creating a raised image and changing the surface of the paper at multiple levels.
