The trend is not our friend. Like you, I’m watching the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 grow rapidly across the country. That’s very troubling, to say the least. However, if there is a fragment of a silver lining in all of this, it’s that employers and employees of every industry sector have already been through this, made many adjustments, and are better prepared for the future.
We are grateful for everyone that participated in developing those recommendations, and thankful to our current board chair, Katie Wilkinson of Fulton Bank, for leading PRAC's Business Subcommittee. She was joined by State Chamber members Chris Schell of Schell Brothers, Taryn Dalmasso of Edgewell Personal Care, and Steve Chambliss of Brookfield Properties (owners of Christiana Mall), and others. The State Chamber was also represented by many other member businesses who contributed greatly to the work of the Health and Equity Subcommittees too.
Finally, let me thank our health care workers, retail, and hospitality industry friends too. They, like others of you, just cannot catch a break with all of this. Financial challenges abound and a resurgence means even greater complexities, anxieties and more as we enter a fall and winter with uncertainty.
