Dear Ones,
We Need You!
I'll be brief since there's so much going on:
- We need your help for an hour or two on Saturday, Dec 20 to help put greenery up around the church to get in the spirit of Christmas. Please email me ASAP so we have the helpers we need - or else we can't decorate in the way that makes us all feel festive. Please help!
- Make your pledge THIS WEEK! On Dec 21, we will bless all the rest of the pledges we've received since November. We're also trying to build a 2026 budget and can't do that without knowing what our giving will be. You can help LOADS by telling us your gift at www.trinitycathedral.com/pledge
- Want to donate flowers or music in honor or memory of someone for Christmas? The sooner you get it in, the best chance you'll have that it will be listed in the Christmas bulletin! Visit HERE and put your dedication in the memo line!
Last but not least, we will NOT be serving a Christmas breakfast this year, but plan ahead toward next holiday season when we will return!

Seré breve, ya que hay mucho que hacer:
- Necesitamos tu ayuda durante una o dos horas el sábado 20 de diciembre para decorar la iglesia con adornos navideños y crear un ambiente festivo. We hope you enjoyed our Annual Quilt Show!
Remember that you can request a quilt to bring comfort to someone experiencing trauma, ill health, or loss anytime during the year.
Starting in January, the Trinity Quilters + Other Crafters will launch! We will welcome ALL interested crafters to be in Atwood every other Saturday morning from 9am on. Would you like to learn to sew baby items, medical dolls, pillowcases, purses, tote bags, and yes, quilts too? Or bring your own! Reflexiones (Self-Reflection)
Mariño’s abstract paintings reflect on three periods of his artistic journey. Mariño is from Venezuela and has exhibited his work internationally. First, there are abstract expressionist pieces, characterized by the intensity of the brushstroke and vibrant colors. Then, there is work that evokes an urban environment, featuring layered elements and graffiti, and finally, a primitive line work that recalls childhood doodles. Mariño titles this series, “From Expressive Gesture to Garabatos (Scribbles)”
Gastelum is an award-winning emerging artist who earned a BFA from ASU in 2023. Layering oil, acrylic, and watercolor with textile elements, she creates highly textured surfaces that symbolically represent the weight of memory and values. “[My] artwork is a dedication to self-love and visual exploration of a person’s extraordinary soul.” Her work prompts self-reflection, showing the impact of family values and the importance of embracing one’s true self.
The Gallery is open for viewing from 10am - 2pm, Monday -Thursdays, Dec 1-25.

Las pinturas abstractas de Mariño reflejan tres períodos de su trayectoria artística. Mariño es venezolano y ha expuesto su obra a nivel internacional. En primer lugar, hay piezas expresionistas abstractas, caracterizadas por la intensidad de la pincelada y los colores vibrantes. Luego, hay obras que evocan un entorno urbano, con elementos superpuestos y grafitis, y, por último, un trabajo de líneas primitivas que recuerda los garabatos infantiles. Mariño titula esta serie «Del gesto expresivo a los garabatos».
Gastelum es una artista emergente galardonada que obtuvo una licenciatura en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Estatal de Arizona (ASU) en 2023. Mediante la superposición de capas de óleo, acrílico y acuarela con elementos textiles, crea superficies muy texturizadas que representan simbólicamente el peso de los recuerdos y los valores. «[Mi] obra es una dedicatoria al amor propio y a la exploración visual del alma extraordinaria de una persona». Su trabajo invita a la autorreflexión, mostrando el impacto de los valores familiares y la importancia de aceptar el verdadero yo.
La galería está abierta al público de lunes a jueves, de 10:00 a 14:00, del 1 al 25 de diciembre.

We pray for peace,
for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Israel, and in Ukraine & Russia, in Sudan and in the Congo.
We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for those who have lost federal service jobs, those who are losing federal loans for education due to reclassification of their intended professions, and all those who are out of work as they head into the holiday season.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
We pray for: Jill, Glen, Maisie, Andrew, Patricia, and the de la Cruz family.
We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.

por la buena voluntad de naciones, y para el bienestar de todos pueblos. Rezamos por nuestro Presidente y por el Congreso, el Gabinete y el Tribunal Supremo. Rezamos por la justicia y la paz, especialmente en Gaza, Iran, y Ucrania y Rusia, en Sudán y en el Congo.
Pedimos tus oraciones para los con recursos limitados,
los enfermos, los hambrientos, los oprimidos y los encarcelados, en particular aquellos que están siendo expulsados de este país sin el debido proceso y aquellos que están siendo expulsados a pesar de estar en procesos de inmigración legales. Oramos por aquellos que han perdido sus empleos en el servicio federal, aquellos que están perdiendo sus préstamos federales para la educación debido a la reclasificación de sus profesiones previstas, y todos aquellos que están sin trabajo al acercarse la temporada navideña.
