Preparing for the Time of Harvest

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
John 4:35

One of our shared goals is to motivate and challenge local churches to provide Bible training for leaders and for those whom God calls to participate in the mission. To accomplish this mission, these leaders need to cooperate with the pastor in the mission. It is important to train these people to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to go out to teach and to make disciples. It contributes to the follow-up of our believers' growth to maturity in Christ. When these people have a proper understanding of the Word of God, they will respond properly to God in service. And moreover, we see the lives of these people transformed into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ who will seriously follow Him. And not only that, you and I are contributing to the increase of our partners for the harvest.
Today, it is clear that our world is changing and that the signs show that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is drawing near. Thank God for CCI's mission in Thailand; that we have planted a vision of discipleship and this has revitalized and strengthened the local church.
We so praise the Lord! Since the beginning of this year til now, we have been praising the Lord for the training that was completed by almost 100 people! Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God and the cooperation, support and prayers of all of you.

We want the participants to pay an affordable amount of money for what they are getting. Galatians 6:6 teaches that students should pay their teachers. “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches” (Gal. 6:6). We do not underwrite all ministry expenses. The ministry needs to become God sufficient. This means that they are trusting in God, raising support, receiving payments and income from the people that are benefiting from the training. Nothing is free in life.

Testimonies
Somchai Noichanwong, the pastor of the Ritphrakhun Chum Phae Church is a current student who is attending a CCI class currently on the 6th book. He is understanding the course and understanding the principles of discipleship according to the study guidelines very well, even though he was a servant who had never been through formal Bible studies in a Bible institution before. In addition to short-term Bible training courses, he said that studying gave him a clearer perspective and understanding of the principles of discipleship and team building. Therefore, this idea was conveyed to the leadership team and church members, which peaked their interest and gave them a common heart in the vision. This led to the opening of a new CCI class in his church.
Although he is still studying Book# 6 taught by Adul Thongdee, the new class opened in April 2022 and has 10 students, with Adul Thongdee as the main instructor and Somchai as a co-teacher. Somchai passed the Teacher Training Workshop in January 2022. The class was very excited. In addition, in the aforementioned classes, there were students from Phu Khieo District in Chaiyaphum and Nam Nao District in Phetchabun Province, which has the burden of pioneering and establishing a new church.
The CCI course is expected to contribute to the emergence of future ministers and leaders for new churches in both areas.

"I converted to Christianity when I was a child and grew up in Jesus Christ. When I was a young person, I was involved in serving as the youth church president. I have served as the leader of a cell group and participated in sharing, leading worship, and service. Later, the church I lived by challenged and invited me to take care of a group of believers in Huai Kong Pae Village, Chiang Mai Province, which has about 20 believers but no follow-up and no Sunday worship. I served there without studying the Bible, until I was advised by Jamie Kamphut to take the CCI training. I have a family and I have to work during the week as a barber to support myself. This course has given me a greater understanding of the scriptures and helped me know my role as a pastoral servant and makes me more efficient.
Moreover, this course has created a discipleship heart for me. Throughout my Bible study until now, teacher James has been a supportive mentor in my ministry. Today, I have opened a class with students who are leaders in the churches where I serve. In a joint network of 18 students studying in the first course, the students and I were very excited to study. In my service as a pastor there for 11 years, the church has grown to 79 members. There is a church building and I was sent four members to study the Bible. Thank God for me being able to serve God and that I can study this course. Thank you for providing a mentor. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to open the CCI Bible training course."
