Things Explained, a new digital series from GPB Education, launches its own YouTube channel and the first featured episode on local elections. Using kid-friendly language and colorful graphics, this episode explains what a midterm election is and  highlights the importance of midterms and their potential impacts on a sitting president. Teacher resources such as discussion questions and vocabulary are included in each episode of Things Explained. Click here to subscribe to the Things Explained YouTube channel.

Upcoming episodes will explain the Abrams v. Kemp gubernatorial race, Georgia's legislative districts, and the governor's office.

Save the Date: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Live Exploration

GPB Education will host its third live exploration--this time with a trip to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra! Students will learn about the science of sound, the inner workings of putting on a musical performance, and more! Viewers can interact with the show by participating in live polls and submitting questions to be answered by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians.

N EW! Physics in Motion  Series
 
Physics in Motion is a new digital series for high school physics from Georgia Public Broadcasting. The series encourages inquiry-based learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking through engaging demonstrations, three-dimensional tasks, and real-world applications. 

The series is comprised of seven units of study that are divided into video segments. Each video segment has corresponding support materials for teachers and students to reinforce the concepts discussed in the videos. Some segments have "Closer Look" videos that provide in-depth, guided instruction and practice.
