What to Expect from a Zoom Assembly Meeting?

  • Each participant will need to pre-register in order to receive the link, by email, for the meeting. Don't wait until the last minute to register - emails may not arrive instantly. Do not share your link. This is how the roll will be recorded.
  • You will need to register for the TEST meeting and for the REAL meeting separately
  • For this meeting, you will not be able to join by phone-in. Links by computer only.
  • The meeting will be recorded.
  • Voting will be done by Zoom polling.
  • The reports are available on the website - For your convenience a single pdf with all reports will be available by Monday (4/13), if not sooner.
  • If you wish to speak, you will need to raise your hand* to be un-muted by the host. Begin your statement or question by announcing your name and congregation.
  • Other, non-voting attendees are asked to remain silent (unless invited to speak) and to not participate in voting.
  • Upon entry to the meeting, you will be muted and will be in a waiting room to be admitted as quickly as possible. The host will be available 15 minutes before the meeting to begin the entry process.
  • Please join the meeting with your video ON (you will be prompted)
  • Toggle between Gallery view and Speaker view (upper right corner of your picture box) - Speaker view will be helpful as more participants are added.
  • Keep in mind, Presbytery Bylaws specify a quorum is three minister members and three elder commissioners from three different churches.
  • Please be patient with the Moderator and hosts - we are learning along with you and will try very hard to make sure you are treated fairly and with respect.
