About this new Pastoral Accompaniment Program
An initiative of the COM, proposed by teaching elders Deborah Troester (Santa Teresa Hills) and Jack Cabaness (Covenant-Palo Alto), the Pastors Supporting Pastors (PSP) program is designed to provide confidential, immediate support and accompaniment to all teaching elders who are facing a challenging situation such as grief, vocational discernment, or a need for a listening ear. This does not replace professional therapy or use of our EAP-BOP benefits. A team of our fellow pastors have volunteered to serve as pastoral accompaniers. If you need pastoral accompaniment, please contact EP Neal Presa (Neal@sanjosepby.org, 408-763-5004) or Stated Clerk Erica Rader (Erica@sanjosepby.org).

Feb 20: Santa Cruz Interfaith Network Immigration Rights Training for Faith Community Leaders
by Pastor Dan Hoffman
The Interfaith Network is sponsoring a training for faith community leaders that will teach us how to train others to know their rights, create a Child Safety Plan, and get involved in Rapid Response/Legal Observation of ICE. These are all CRITICAL needs right now and they are the most urgent ways that our communities can support the vulnerable.
Protecting Vulnerable Families: Helping our Congregations Prepare will be held on February 20th from 4:30-6:30pm at Westview Presbyterian Church in Watsonville.
We strongly encourage you to attend and to bring some key leaders from your community. If you can make it for this event, please RSVP as well using this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1kv_7ZObO68pQkJ0wxS5U9kTVS6CJHfgMGjtEBEoc4WNIsQ/viewform
