Commissioned Ruling Elder InfoSession Zoom scheduled for April 1, 4:00pm [Registration Link] The Presbytery adopted a Policy and Program for Commissioned Ruling Elders (CREs) for the Presbytery of San Jose. [Excerpt from Feb 27 Meeting Docket] This one-hour session is open to all presbyters and churches. Executive Presbyter Neal Presa will answer questions like, What is a Commissioned Ruling Elder (CRE)? Why a CRE? What are our Presbytery's policy and process on CRE support and preparation? How does one become a CRE?

Community Mission Grant

A Community Mission project increases the service of our churches to meet the physical, spiritual, social, or emotional needs of our greater San Jose community or otherwise develops our mission capacity. Mission and Outreach Work Group co-chairs are Pam Siu (RE, Santa Teresa Hills Pres, also member of Coordinating Council) and Pastor Vincent Arishvara (TE, Trinity San Jose).


Congregational Growth Grant

Rapid Response Network Training


Sunday, 3/15, 2-4pm: Use your privilege to ensure that everyone's Constitutional rights are always observed in your own community.


Pangea Legal Service will train you how to legally document and monitor ICE officials during immigration raids in real-time. This training will equip volunteers to respond in both Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. 


Asian Law Alliance Seeks Volunteers


Asian Law Alliance provides free legal clinics in Sunnyvale and San Jose to low-income residents. Their pro bono efforts fall into four categories: immigration, family law, housing and securing welfare.

St. Philip's Presbyterian Church

We're asking all churches and worshiping communities to pray for the host of the Unity Candle each week, including mention in their worship bulletins and pastoral prayer/congregational prayers.

St. Philip's Presbyterian Church is the only majority-Filipino congregation in the Presbytery of San Jose. Founded in Salinas, this congregation maintains strong family ties and boasts 3rd- and 4th-generation Americans.


St Philip's celebrated its 100th Anniversary July 2024. Today they are nested at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Salinas, CA. The Session is moderated by Rev. Andy Rausch. Clerk of Session is Ruling Elder Ricardo Sabillo.


The congregation of St. Philip's is very generous, known for bringing the roast suckling pig to Executive Presbyter Neal Presa's Commissioning September 2024.
