Dear Presbytery Family,
The members of your Coordinating Council continue to meet each week to pray for you and to seek God’s wisdom and guidance during the global pandemic and the concerns we face as a community of faith. As the number of people experiencing the COVID-19 disease continues to expand, we commend you for your efforts and precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible. What we do now to limit the spread of this disease can truly be life-saving, and it honors our commitment to love God and our neighbors with heart and soul, mind and strength. During these past few months we have shared resources for reducing the harm of the virus and prayers that increase our hope for healing and wholeness.
Things to share this week include:
- The first electronic presbytery meeting, with limited business, will be on Tuesday, July 28, at 6:00 pm. Click on these links to see the meeting notice and to register no later than Monday, July 27 at noon. All those who pre-register will receive the Zoom link via email on July 27. The amended call and meeting materials should be available on this page a week before the meeting. Click here for the special meeting rules (which require video access).
- Our COVID-19 resources page contains ideas for a vibrant congregational witness in this season as well as considerations for when and how to hold in person services and activities in the church building. Many of our congregations are holding Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer by virtual means, using creative and fun learning methods.
With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
