Uprooting Hunger - 2019 Presbytery Wide Goal
Until All Eat and Are Fed
We experience God’s grace and love through our faith in the saving power of Jesus’ death and resurrection. “We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another” (1 John 3:16). In the Gospels, Jesus was compassionate to all people, especially the widow, the orphan, the stranger, the hungry, the poor, and the infirmed —the most vulnerable in society. Jesus loved all people—rich and poor—and actively cared for people in need. He urged his disciples to do the same.

2019 Starpoint Reformed Youth Festival "Unity"
July 23-27 in Debrecen
Every two years, thousands of Reformed youth from all over the Carpathian Basin and international guests from around the world gather to worship, fellowship, and grow in faith with one another at the Starpoint Reformed Youth Festival. Each year, during the festival, youth participate in various programs, including opening and closing worships, daily keynotes, roundtable discussions and workshops, and evening devotions and small groups. Unlike other festivals, Starpoint is a festival for youth by youth, with a group of more than 600 people taking part in organizing and running the event.
Upcoming Online Continuing Education
The Leadership Institute is committed to equipping and inspiring church and ministry leaders. Our desire is to foster the continuing, ongoing process of leadership development for pastors, educators, and lay leaders alike. We invite you to explore how we may partner together to strengthen our witness and service to the church in the world.
Opportunity to Talk about the Confessions
The confession in the Book of Confessions with the widest history of use in the United States is Westminster. Its Confession of Faith and its Catechisms have literally been part of American churches [and not only Presbyterian ones] since 1648, the year it was first adopted by the English Parliament. Until the creation of the Book of Confessions in 1967, it was the only confession used as a theological “plumbline” in Presbyterian churches.
Wednesday morning we will discuss the history of these foundational documents in the life of our church and explore what the Westminster Confession of Faith still has to teach us about our God and our faith.
