How Do We Engage Socially Distancing and still participate in Mission & Ministry?
The Road to Unity:
Personal Reflections on Racism Through History
Beginning June 18
Julie Nicolai, a member of Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church and the Presbytery's History Team and Dismantling Racism & White Privilege Committee, will be giving a three part virtual workshop, "The Road to Unity: Personal Reflections on Racism Through History."
The workshop, hosted by Ladue Chapel, will be held virtually at 6:00 p.m. on the next three consecutive Thursdays, June 18, June 25 and July 2, 2020.
Through slide presentations and group discussions, we will brainstorm to put an end to racism and white privilege. The workshops will focus on historic events in the St.Louis area in the context of the Legacy Museum, National Memorial for Peace and Justice and Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. Here's the link to the webinar registration: Register in advance for this webinar:

SPIRIT OF STEWARDSHIP WEBINAR
June 30, 2020 • 1:00 p.m.
We are living in history. What is our context for thanksgiving and praise? This season is more than challenging. But, we are not alone. We worship as a community of faith. We are God’s household. This webinar will look at foundational images of the Body of Christ. We will use those images to formulate how we structure and create our thanksgiving and what we do and say when we are at a loss for words.

Tues., Aug. 18 at 7 p.m.
The Holy Spirit may also be firing the imagination of some of you around Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery to see visions and dream dreams of inviting disciples into Jesus’ loving mission and ministry through launching a completely new worshiping community. As you look around your corner of God’s creation, the Holy Spirit may be breaking your heart for hurting people you are being called to creatively serve through launching something new. The Giddings-Lovejoy New Worshiping Communities Commission would love to partner with you in discerning and supporting your visions and dreams for launching a new worshiping community. Response To Congregation Challenge
by the Earth Care Team
This garden photo comes from the front yard of Carleton and Ellie Stock's home (retired Presbyterian Clergy) in Dellwood, MO. The project was in response to the challenge to presbytery congregation members by the Earth Care Team to Beautify and Plant New Life in their yard or community or at the church during June. The garden is for beautification and the sign for joining the call of the recent protests to respect the lives of people of color, especially African-Americans. Please send a photo of your project to your church's publications and/or to the presbytery e-newsletter. Thank you.
For more info on how your congregation can become a certified Earth Care Congregation in the Presbyterian Church (USA), contact: carletonstock@aol.com or (314) 941-9378.
