Two churches in our presbytery have replaced their incandescent lights with energy-saving, earth-saving LED and CFL lights! Congratulations to First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson, Mike Trautman, Pastor and The Presbyterian Church of Washington, Pat Gruber, Pastor. They were happy to hear that, not only do these new lights use 60% less energy, but the cost will be recovered in about five years! Both churches are on the way to becoming Earth Care Congregations in the Presbyterian Church (USA). For more information on how your church can become a certified ECC, contact Rev. Carleton Stock, HR ( [email protected]  or 314-941-9378) convenor of the Earth Care Action Team of the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy.
