We Heard You - We Are Grateful
Thank You for Participating in the
Post-Gathering Survey
The Presbytery Gathering Planning Committee meets the week following each Presbytery Gathering to go over the highlights and lowlights of the meeting, technical glitches, and discuss survey results. It is with guidance from the survey that we seek to improve each Presbytery Gathering for all attendees.
In quick summary:
  • We heard from our commissioners and guests that Rev. Dr. Ott’s message was the highlight of the day, with additional complimentary commentary honors going to Rev. Dr. Threadgill and Rev. Rob Dyer.
  • We heard that you liked the Zoom option, however; would prefer an option to include in-person (Hybrid) for the remaining Gatherings of Giddings-Lovejoy.
  • We heard that there was a lack of material and clarity in the breakout sessions. Improvement can occur by structuring the sessions with materials and possibly a leader.
We are grateful for your feedback. We heard your joy and occasional frustration, and we will use that informative fuel to enrich the upcoming May 14 Presbytery Gathering. Please remember that our presbytery values all members' vision and voice and we welcome hearing from you.

Tips for Caring for God's Amazing Creation
Turn off Electronics and Appliances when not in use
Power off your computer, TV, video games, kitchen equipment, etc. since they use up a lot of energy (in Missouri, coal is used to produce most of the electricity and burning coal makes the atmosphere hotter!). Also, unplug these electronics and appliances when you are not using them. The little things done by all of us help keep the planet cooler!
"TIPS" is brought to you by the Earth Care Team of the presbytery. Contact: [email protected] or 314-941-9378.
Ferguson ECOLOGY Team Video Night
Presents VIA ZOOM:
Thurs., Feb 17 at 7 pm
2040 is an innovative feature documentary that looks to the future, but is vitally important NOW. Award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on journey to explore what the future would look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary footage with dramatized sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board for his daughter and the planet.

Called to Address Hunger in Your Area
Malnutrition is responsible for nearly half of all deaths among children under the age of 5. By the end of 2022, 60 million children will face life-threatening malnutrition if we don’t act.
The House is expected to vote on the bipartisan Global Malnutrition Prevention and Treatment Act (HR4693) in the next few weeks. Urge your representative to cosponsor this lifesaving bill.
The Global Malnutrition Prevention and Treatment Act builds on Bread for the World’s years-long efforts on improving global nutrition. It establishes a strategy to support countries in implementing their plans to prevent and treat malnutrition.
Good nutrition is critical during a child’s first 1,000 days of life. If we act now, we can intervene during that critical time.
