  • Action arm of Presbytery of Detroit focuses on shelter, food, education and health….. While sitting in a committee meeting in 2004, Tom Neal asked, “How do we help all our churches get involved in mission?” Since no formal system was in place within the Presbytery of Detroit at that time, he and others worked to create the Hands-On Mission Work Group(HOMWG).

We slow down, take time, and examine our internal spiritual lives and the way we live out our Christian faith in the world around us. The  Presbyterian Hunger Program  strives to walk with people in moving towards sustainable choices that restore and protect all of God’s children and creation. Check out the 2019 'Tread Lightly for Lent' reflection-action calendar!
