Uprooting Hunger - 2019 Presbytery Wide Goal
Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday
Start Now - Super Bowl Sunday is February 3
Brad Smith, a seminary intern serving at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina, in 1990 gave birth to the Souper Bowl of Caring with this prayer: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat.”
Souper Bowl of Caring empowers youth and unites communities around the time of the Big Game to help those in need. Since 1990, young people have been leading the charge and inspiring others to collect dollars and food weeks leading up to the Big Game. Teaming up with local partners, these groups give 100% of donations to local charities, changing the nation's largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring. Since its inception, more than $100 million has been collected to tackle hunger! Learn how to participate here .

Celebrating Life and Ministry
Welcome Juniper!
Rev. John Harrison and Michelle Bach welcome their first child, a daughter, they have named Juniper Emily Bach Harrison. Juniper arrived weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz.
Her name comes from Isaiah 55:12-13 (NIV)  "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.
Congratulations to the Bach-Harrison Family!
