Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year at Saint Brigid of Kildare Preschool! During this uncertain period, we hope that preschool can still be a magical time for our young children. You will watch them blossom right before your eyes as they experience new opportunities, establish friendships and make discoveries about the world around them. Our preschool staff will guide you as you begin this new phase with your child. We are working night and day to create a safe, loving, and healthy classroom environment for all of our students. Classroom assignments, teacher information, and class times are not included in this email, they will be sent to you in a separate email later this month. We are honored to travel this journey with you! If I personally can be of help to you, please feel free to contact me by e-mail at or by phone at (614) 718-5825 x 244

Thank you for choosing Saint Brigid of Kildare Preschool!

Health Guide and Medical Form for St. Brigid of Kildare Preschool
As we continue to monitor the overall health situation in the state, we are happy to announce the procedures we are planning on using in order to keep all of our students safe. You can access the guide here. Please note that this situation is fluid, and as we learn more about the health crisis we may need to adjust our procedures.

You can find the preschool medical form on the “Current Families” page of the school website, in the health forms section (there is a section just for preschool health forms towards the bottom of the page). Please remember to ask for a copy of the immunization record to be attached to the medical form. Medical forms can be turned in on Parent Administration Day but must be on file before your child's first day of class. Click here to be taken to the page.
St. Brigid's Ark
Our modular classrooms will be delivered to the Saint Brigid campus very soon. Our staff is anxiously awaiting their arrival which is scheduled for August 17th. Due to the size and appearance of our new classrooms we are renaming them Saint Brigid’s Ark. Each class has been split into two pods. These pods will each be renamed using an animal theme. Your child’s pod assignment, teacher information and more will be arriving via email soon.

School Bag and School Supplies
It is not necessary for you to purchase a backpack for your child. The preschool provides a school bag for each student. One of our first art projects will be for each child to decorate and personalize his/her own school bag. The children really enjoy this project!

We are requiring parents to purchase school supplies for each preschool student this school year due to eliminating the use of shared supplies to lessen the spread of germs. The school supply kit sale is over, however you can find a list of needed supplies for your student here. If you ordered from the supply sale, your child’s kit will be delivered directly to their classroom. If you are purchasing supplies on your own, please label them with your child’s name and bring them on their first day of class.
Home and School
Home & School is the parent-run organization that services the needs of the school community through our teachers, parents and children. Home & School information can be found on the school website and in the school newsletters. Please feel free to contact any board member or committee chair with questions or to volunteer. Volunteering will look a little different this school year due to the ongoing health crisis. However, there are still many ways that parents can become involved. Link to Home and School Website.

Home and School is assisting the preschool in asking for donations as we move into our modular classrooms. If you are able to donate, please see the link below for more details.
Dress Code
Please note that the dress code is very specific concerning tennis shoes. Tennis shoes must either be ALL white, ALL black or can be a combination of white and black. Silver or grey can appear on athletic shoes only as a slight border or outline. Tennis shoes are required to be worn on gym days. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you consider tennis shoes for your child’s every day shoes. Navy blue shorts may be worn August-September 30 and May 1-June. See the handbook for the complete dress code.

Dress code information can also be found under the forms section found here.
