Curbside Reminders
Car Signs/Bag Tags - Car signs must be clearly displayed during pick-up. Signs can be hung from the passenger visor or rearview mirror as long as they are clearly visible. There are several kinds of products available that can be used to display your sign.
Car signs and bag will be sent home starting tomorrow, Wednesday (9/25) - please let me know if you do not receive anything, but check your child's backpack and folder, first. You will receive 1 bag tag per child and 1 car sign per pick-up person listed on the curbside form.
Curbside is not meant to be faster than dropping off/picking up inside. Our curbside service is simply a convenience offered for those who may have mobility issues or have infants in the car with them. Please exercise patience while waiting in line.
Cars exiting Curbside should be prepared to turn right onto Maple Ave. Please do not cut off the left lane of exit traffic.
You MUST NOT exit your vehicle when in the curbside lane, especially from the driver's side. There is active traffic leaving the parking lot in the next lane, and we want everyone to remain safe!
Preschoolers MUST be able to exit/enter the car from the passenger side. We will not walk children around to or from the driver's side, for the same reason as above.
Preschoolers must be able to unbuckle & buckle themselves into their car seat, or an adult in the vehicle must be able to do so without exiting the vehicle.
Preschoolers must willingly exit and enter the vehicle. We will not force anyone into or out of a vehicle - if your child is struggling with separation anxiety, and is upset at drop-off and will not leave the car (hitting, kicking, grabbing onto the door, etc.), you will be asked to pull around into the parking lot, and to walk your child into the building once they have calmed down.
Change of Plans? We encourage those using curbside, especially for pick-up, to stick to your decision. But we understand that plans occasionally change! Please message your teacher through Remind and/or let them know ahead of time of any changes. Especially with pick-up, it's important that staff know whether or not to take a child to curbside; frequent changes are difficult to manage.
Failure to adhere to Curbside Drop-Off/Pick-Up procedures may result in you/your child being removed from the Curbside program.
