HELLO!

A NOTE FROM MS. YAMATO

Our preschool classes joined the rest of the school in showing our gratitude to our local Pastors during Pastor Appreciation Day. At VCS, we are intentional about partnering with our local churches and were blessed to see so many pastors from within our communities come together this week. If you are a pastor, leader, or volunteer, in your church, I want to thank you. What you do has a significant impact on the families you serve. I pray that you will continue to be strengthened by God to serve and always be aware that as you are planting, watering, and harvesting, you can trust God with the outcome. You can trust that what you sow in faithfulness will be blessed by God to go forth to change lives for His kingdom. May God fill you with His great love, peace, provision, and joy, as you let Him work in you and through you.

BACKPACK SERIES

As part of our research-based Teaching Pyramid approach, we are excited to share resources from the Backpack Series. These practical resources offer simple strategies families can use at home to support children's social-emotional development and reinforce skills being taught at school.

Have you ever told your preschooler, “Don’t do that!” only to have them do it again? Young children are still learning what appropriate behavior looks like, and sometimes they simply need us to tell and show them what to do instead.

This week’s Backpack Series offers simple ways to turn everyday corrections into opportunities for teaching and encouragement.
