A Note From Mrs. Harper

Dear Preschool Families,

Thank you so much for your amazing response to enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. We are excited and blessed to be able to serve your families and children again. It's hard to believe that half of the school year has already come and gone. However, we are looking forward to the remainder of the year! We will continue to foster creativity, spirituality, and growth in your child each day they join us for preschool.

"May this new year bring many opportunities your way to explore every joy of life. May your resolutions for the days ahead stay firm turning all your dreams into reality and all your efforts into great achievements."                     ~ Anonymous

Warmly,
Hillary Harper

Valentine Party Information

All preschool classes will enjoy a small Valentine's Day party during the regular class time. Parents do not need to attend since it is during class time. Each student will need to bring one valentine for each student in their class. Please have students sign only their own name to ensure they can easily distribute them at the party. Valentine bags will be created during the party to hold all of the cards. No need to make one at home! Due to allergies, we ask that no food be given with the valentine cards. Thank you for understanding!

Angels, Saints, and Disciples classes will have their party on Feb. 13, 2019. They have 16 children in each class.

Hearts, Halos, and Holy Heroes classes will have their party on Feb. 14, 2019. They have 14 children in Hearts and Halos classes. They have 16 children in the Holy Heroes class.

Scholastic Book Orders

Book orders for the month of February are due by February 8, 2019.  Thank you for your support in helping us earn free books for our preschool library.

Here's how: Choose books with your child from the paper flyers or online at: scholastic.com/bookclubs

To order online, connect to our class using our Class Code:
Class Code - TFXY6
Order Due Date -  2/08/19

SNOW BOOTS
There is nothing quite like clomping through the snow in a new pair of boots!  It is a fun sensory activity for all ages. However, please remember that according to the St Brigid of Kildare Dress Code, boots are not to be worn in the classroom during the school day. Your child can wear their snow boots to school, but you also need to send dress code appropriate shoes to be changed into for class. You can either leave the boots under their cubby or take them with you when you leave. If the playground is covered in snow we will NOT go out for recess.

MITTENS vs. GLOVES
Unless your child is a pro at getting their fingers in gloves, please get them mittens! We want their hands to be warm.  It is much easier for them to experience success when putting on a mitten compared to the frustration of trying to put on a glove!  This is also a help to the teachers. Trying to help a class full of children putting on gloves makes us late for dismissal. Thank you!

Uniform Exchange February 10

There will be a school uniform exchange on Sunday, February 10 from 9 a.m. - noon in the school cafeteria -- this will be at the same time as the Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast. Any family can attend the uniform exchange to pick up uniforms they need at no cost. It's simple -- just show up, look through the uniforms and leave with what you need.

If dropping off gently used uniforms please mark each item with its appropriate size.

Pizza Bingo: Registration Open

Pizza Bingo is around the corner! We are collecting toy donations for bingo prizes from now until February 7. There is a bin in the main office for you to drop off your item.
