A Note From Mrs. Harper

Dear Preschool Families,

Spring is just around the corner! The preschool enjoyed watching chicks hatch and grow over the past two weeks. It was an amazing experience for all of us! Coming up, we will watch caterpillars change, care for a bunny, learn about water safety, and bus safety. Be on the lookout for more information via email in April and May.

E gg Hunt

The preschool will enjoy an egg hunt during class! Please plan on sending your child with a basket or another container to collect their eggs on the following dates:

Hearts & Halos classes: Tuesday, April 16

Angels, Saints, Disciples, Holy Heroes classes: Wednesday, April 17

Easter Break

There are no classes on April 18, 19 or 22 for preschool and Saint Brigid of Kildare School.

Upcoming Party Dates

Mothers of Hearts and Halos:
Thursday, May 9 is our annual Mother's Day Party . Moms, this party is especially for you!

Fathers of Angels, Saints and Disciples:

Friday, May 10 is our Dad's Party. Dads, this one's for you!

Holy Heroes Moms:

Friday, May 10 is our Mother's Day Tea.

The party times are as follows:

Morning Parties are from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.

Afternoon Parties are from 1:00 - 2:15 p.m.

Children and parent(s) should arrive together at either 9:00 or 1:00.

These parties are planned by the children with guidance from the teachers, in honor of you ! The children are helping to pick the menu, are making the decorations and making a special gift to show you their love. Children should wear party clothes (no uniforms). Please plan to attend. And don't forget to bring your camera!

For Your Information--

The teachers have been collecting work, taking pictures and making anecdotal notes since the beginning of the year. This portfolio of your child's work is put in a binder for you to keep and treasure. The portfolios will be given to you at the parties.

End of the Year Preschool Picnic Information

Date: May 22

Time: 11:00-1:00

Place: Brigid's Green-across the street from the church at the athletic fields

Bring: a blanket or lawn chairs

There are so many fun activities planned--come prepared for a great time! The picnic planning committee has been busy organizing this event. Younger siblings are welcome to join us! In a few weeks w e will send an email to collect RSVPs to help with planning for determining the amount of food needed.

Try as we might, we can't stop the rain. If it is a light rain, we will proceed as planned. In the event of heavy rain or lightning, the picnic will be cancelled. Please pray for nice weather! We will email to notify you if we need to cancel. Please check your email that morning if you are unsure.

P rotecting God's Children

April 11

St. Brigid of Kildare will be offering a Protecting God's Children session on Thursday, April 11th at 10:00 am in the Carr Nursery of Hendrick's Hall.

Registration is required at www.virtus.org.

VBS Registration Open!

Get ready for a Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer! Join us as we travel the globe and learn why we pray, where we pray and how to make your prayer life take flight!

When: June 17-21, 2019, 9 am - noon
Where: St. Brigid of Kildare School
Who: Children 3 years old and potty trained by June 17, 2019 through those entering grade 6 (2019-20 school year)*
Cost: $40/per child (includes VBS T-Shirt, Music CD and all supplies used throughout the week)
