Small Business Makeover Program - SBDC
|
The Small Business Development Center at Yavapai College is “keeping Yavapai small business dreams alive” by introducing a new Small Business Makeover program to bring expertise and resources to
entrepreneurs in Yavapai County.
A committee comprised of community leaders will select four businesses for the “Makeover of a Lifetime”. These businesses will go through a business assessment with an SBDC consultant and together identify three opportunities that will have the biggest impact on the business. To help the business owners improve in those areas, the SBDC team will make available subject matter experts and additional resources.
The makeover journey for each of these four businesses will be documented in a short video that will be produced and shown at a final makeover celebration during the Fall of 2021.
In addition to the four business makeovers, 60 small businesses will be eligible for a new mini-makeover program that is being piloted in 2021. The mini-makeover program will consist of a series of workshops,
similar to a business boot camp, covering topics such as Strategy formation,Financial Literacy, Digital Marketing, Funding, People Management, and Operations.
Any small business that has been in business for three or more years and has not been an active client of the SBDC since 2015 is eligible to apply. There will be four application rounds: Jan, Feb, March and April.

Happy Holidays! My name is Bernie and I’m an 8 year old domestic long hair cat with a soft black coat! I am a special boy with some special needs, as I have a Heart Murmur. I don’t need any medication at this time but may need some in the future. My favorite past time is competitive lap sitting, and I can sit in your lap for hours! I love people and want to be your cuddle buddy for the rest of my life. During the month of December all of my adoption fees (and all my other feline friends here) are waived, so it's the perfect time to take me ho ho home! Call 928-445-2666 to ask about me today, then make an appointment to come meet me and fall in love! Meowy Christmas!!

YRMC to Pause All Inpatient and Outpatient Elective Procedures at Both Hospital Locations
In response to rising COVID-19 hospitalization rates, Dignity Health, Yavapai Regional Medical Center has paused all inpatient and outpatient elective procedures at both hospital locations beginning Monday, December 21. Emergent and urgent procedures will continue at both locations. “This was a difficult decision but one that is necessary due to high COVID-19 admission rates at our hospitals,” states Keith Nichols, Chief Operating Officer, YRMC. “By pausing outpatient and inpatient hospital procedures, we manage bed capacity and staffing levels to care for the high patient volumes we are experiencing.”
