Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday

It's time to clean out your medicine cabinets and dispose of any unwanted or unused medications. Doing this is important because it prevents misuse and it helps the environment.

Did you know, 42% of teens who have misused prescription drugs report taking medication from a friend or family member's medicine cabinet. When it comes to painkillers, two-thirds report getting it from a medicine cabinet. Locally, 30% of teens report taking prescription drugs from a family member. Remember, prescription drugs are only safe when taken as prescribed by the person it's prescribed for. Below are Take Back Day locations near you.

Can't make it to Take Back Day? You can dispose of medications year-round or learn how to dispose of them safely at home.
