CC Families,

Good afternoon. It's hard to believe we are already halfway through March and the first quarter of 2021! This week marks one year from when the pandemic first affected our school. I remember having a total of 40 students from mid-March through the beginning of May. We have come a long way. It doesn't look like we are in the clear yet but things are going in the right direction for sure. During this Lent, I have spent many hours reflecting on the many blessings I have and how grateful I am that this pandemic has not had a hugely adverse effect on my life. It has been a blessing to still be able to come to work every day and support our families and staff. In the update this week you will find a link to register for our summer session. Please remember if you have a part-time student you must register your child for summer if you want them to attend. If your student is full-time you do not need to register unless you would like to change their schedule or your child will not be attending for the summer. We have been checking into the possibility of having our spring field trip but at this point, the bus situation is still the same and we will be planning on a special activity in-house instead. For our PreK families, we are planning to have an in-person event with restricted attendance. We will be sending out more information about this event soon! Many students over the next month will be enjoying spring break plans with their families. Please make sure if your child is not going to be attending you contact the office by 9:00 AM. If your child will be out for an extended period of time you may send an email to their teacher or Speaking of spring break I am going to take a few days off to spend with my family while my son is on his spring break. I will be out of the office Monday through Wednesday this week. If you need assistance please contact Teresa Button our Assistant Director at or call the office at (816)251-1140. Easter Egg Hunt Schedule
Our center-wide Easter egg hunts will be held on March 23 & March 24. We are asking all families to bring in two bags of candy from the approved candy list in the link below. You may drop candy off in the front office. Since these events will be held outside we are going to allow parents to attend. Parents may attend the event outside only and will need to remain outside until their child's class comes outside. If you arrive early we ask for parents not to congregate and wait in your car until your child's specified time. After your child's class has their hunt please say goodbye to your child outside and let them return back into the school with their class. If you are going to take your child with you after their hunt please make sure their teacher is aware before you leave.

Summer Session Registration
It's time to sign up for the summer session. If your child currently attends part-time (m/w/f or t/th) you will need to register if you would like for them to attend from June 1 - Aug 10. If your child currently attends full-time M-F you do not need to register unless their schedule will be changing to part-time, they will only be attending some of the summer or they will not be attending at all. Right now we are just taking attendance to see how many students we will have and how we will need to staff. Summer calendars and classroom assignments will not come out until May. Below you will find a link to the page on the website to fill out the registration form. The password is summerfun2021
Lenten resources will be available on the table upfront from Wednesday, 2/17 through Thursday, 4/1. We hope you will join us in prayer and reflection during this time of preparation before Easter.

Below you will find a links to the remind groups where you can sign up to be a part of our text group. Important updates and info is sent out this way so please make sure you are signed up. The groups are organized based on the first letter of your last name so make sure to sign up for the correct group.

We want to make it easier for you to stay in communication with us. If you need to send general information to the office we have created an email address which will send your email message to all of our office staff. You can still send sensitive information to an individual by sending your email to their personal email address but if you want to send general information to be answered by any of our office staff then please use the email address indicated below.
