Dear Presentation Families,
We wanted to let you know about an exciting (and EASY!) way you can help our school at a chance to win $10,000!
The Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE) is hosting a Virtual Bash on Saturday, May 2nd, at 7:00 pm (visit for more information on the event). 100% of the funds raised will go directly to support the most critical and urgent needs in the 79 Catholic elementary schools in this Archdiocese – including Presentation.
Any school that hosts a Virtual Watch Party of 10 or more people can enter a drawing to win $10,000! To receive an entry, you need to share a picture of your group watching the Virtual Bash between 6:30-8:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd to Facebook using the hashtag #BringTheLove and tagging the CSCOE Facebook page: @CSCOE. Virtual Cocktail Hour begins at 6:30 and the actual event starts at 7:00. Each party of 10 or more earns us another chance to win, so with multiple parties comes multiple chances! How many do you think we can get?
Interested in hosting your own watch party to give Presentation a shot at winning $10,000? Click here to see how - it's easy! Please also email the principals to let us know so we can keep track of them. Thanks for participating!

Teacher Appreciation Day- Tuesday, May 5
Do you applesolutely love our teachers? Please send us a picture using an apple as the symbol of your love! Let’s get creative! Use anything apple related: teachers are the core, a bite of new knowledge is a life of success, apple of your eye, my teacher is as sweet as apple pie, an apple a day brings the teacher my way, a toast with apple juice, a drawing of an apple with a kid pic in the center saying, "I am the center of my teacher’s attention," use any other creative ideas you get! We are trying to show our appreciation to all of our wonderful teachers. Use the hashtag… #applesolutelyloveourteachers
*By sending us a photo you are agreeing we can use it on Presentation’s digital communication platforms. Remember, do not include names of children in the photo.

Next week is a Week of Giving through GiveMN. The global day of generosity is on Tuesday, May 5th. #GiveAtHomeMN starts May 1 - is Teacher Appreciation . Our teachers were ESSENTIAL long before Covid-19 and will be long after. Thanks to the generosity of the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence, all gifts to Presentation will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Presentation has set a goal of $10,000. Every gift matters, every gift is needed. #GiveAtHomeMN is about the power of our collective generosity and how it can make a difference during this unprecedented time.

Next Packet Pick Up
Over the next few days, K, 2nd, 3rd, 4 th and Spanish teachers will assemble learning packets for each child to use throughout the final weeks of school. As we learned in the Best Practices in Distance Learning webinar, these packets include non-tech options which are so very important for younger students. We know that many of you do not have access to a printer, so Spanish materials will be available for the drive up as well. First Grade students already received the non-tech materials they will need for the next four weeks. Middle Schoolers will continue with Google Classroom and Google Meet and an array of cool apps.

Packets will be ready for drive-up this Monday May 4, 2020 by the preschool door. Please note the following details for access as we will barricade our normal access routes on that end of the campus to ensure the safety of everyone. (Same procedure as last time)
1.     Cars should enter the parish parking lot between the church and the rectory on the north end of the campus on Kennard Street.
2.     Cars will proceed through the parking lot down the hill toward the preschool door.
3.      Staff will put the packets in car trunks or tail gates as you drive up. Trunks will be better than tail gates if you can manage that. They will not put bags in your back seat where children may be sitting in an effort to maintain social distancing. While we know the kids will be excited to see everyone, please ensure they keep their distance during this transfer.
4.     Materials will only be available for drive up.
5.     No one should park and come up to staff for pick up.
6.     Families with last names beginning with A-K can drive up for packets between 1:00 and 1:45 PM.
7.     Families with last names beginning with L-Z can drive up for packets between 2:00 and 2:45 PM.
Again, no one should leave their car for pick up and will kindly be asked to proceed to the drive up line. We will fill cars as quickly as we can but plan for wait time. Please call the school office if you have any questions or concerns about the drive-up.

Please stay healthy.

God Bless.

Distance Learning Update

Middle Schoolers have been busy learning about the Elements of an Argument . Did you know that a paragraph should have:
1. A topic sentence that details the claim and a reason
2. Evidence from an article
3. An explanation of how the evidence supports the claim
When drafting a conclusion, it should be the opposite organization of the introduction (reminds us of thesis, tells us why it is important or why we should know about it, and then ends with a connection to the attention getter with which started the introduction).

We certainly can see the rigor and intensity of this assignment so as we said, there’s no time for May Mayhem, there’s learning to be done. Second graders are doing syllable sorts and spelling tests all while observing and documenting plant growth. Mrs. Keeley got a chocolate emoji from one of the grandma’s. How thoughtful! Specialists sent out a short survey to assess how that learning was going. They will use the feedback to adjust or maintain activities and procedures. Thank you for your feedback, we are all learning through this together!

  Registration for 2020-21: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Dear parents:

I know that there are many difficult decisions going on within the family during these trying times. We, the principals, are reaching out to you to help you in deciding to register your child(ren) for the coming school year.

The following is the most current information about registering for school year 2020-21: There is no deadline date to register and the registration fee has been waived for the coming school year.

We also asked TADS not to apply any late fee for payments this year.  Please register as soon as possible so that the school budget can be finalized and tuition assistance can begin to be given to families that have a need.

We want to remind everyone that before any assistance can be given, parents must have a signed agreement. Registering and completing an agreement now helps in determining final student numbers and provides us with the amount of tuition assistance needed by families. Having that information ensures that a fair and equable distribution of financial aid can be achieved.

Thank you in advance for registering you child(ren). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. It is our desire to assist you in anyway that will help you in registering for the coming school year.

Register today!! It provides us with much needed information to answer questions concerning the 2020-21 school year so that we can continue to serve Presentation School to the best of our ability.

Please keep yourself and families safe and know that you are in our prayers.
