Happy April!
It's World Autism Month
|
|
April is World Autism Month! Clancy & Associates would like to celebrate all of our clients and loved ones who have autism.
Get involved by joining Autism Speaks' "Kindness Campaign" which urges acceptance, understanding and inclusion with daily acts of kindness. We encourage you to share your family's story, whether in conversation or on social media. The more we can teach others, the more acceptance, understanding and support those with autism will receive.
This month, we want to share the dates of several presentations and school fairs, and tell you about other helpful resources. "The Future Begins Today" school fair in Palatine on April 26th marks one of the first in-person transition fair in 3 years. We strongly recommend attending this fair if your child is in high school - it's a great opportunity to gather a wide variety of resources and learn more about programs and services all in less than 2 hours. Please be sure to stop by our table and say hi!

Last month, we received our annual special delivery of shamrock "Birdie Tweets" for St. Patrick’s Day, courtesy of Caroline O'Hara.
She makes birdseed into shapes to hang in trees. Considering a purchase for Easter or Passover, or any other upcoming holiday? Birdie Tweets come in a variety of seasonal shapes. Check out BirdieTweets.org. Caroline donates a portion of her profits to senior centers and other non-profits. Keep up the awesome work Caroline! We are rooting for you!

"The transition to adulthood for someone with special needs is especially challenging. Katie Clancy and her team at Clancy & Associates were able to thoroughly explain and help with a multitude of concerns including estate planning, wills, and a special needs trust.
My husband and I greatly appreciated Katie's insight and compassion in planning and preparing for the future needs of our child”
