Throughout 2023, New Century Careers (NCC) continued to make significant strides in its mission to address the region's advanced manufacturing needs, marking a year of remarkable progress and regional outreach.
The report also highlights success stories of individuals like Anthony H. and Melody S., whose lives have been transformed through NCC's training programs. Anthony, a graduate of the Manufacturing 2000 cohort, is now integrating his lifelong passion for creating things with his hands into a sustainable career. Melody, a single mother from Pittsburgh, successfully completed her training as a machinist and joined a partner company, Aerotech Inc., with the support of NCC's programs.
Neil Ashbaugh, President and CEO of New Century Careers, stated, "We are proud to report on the impactful work accomplished in collaboration with our partners throughout 2023. Together, we have strengthened workforce development initiatives and positioned NCC as a regional and national resource in technical skills training."
In addition to workforce development initiatives, NCC has actively engaged in community outreach and support, participating in various events and initiatives to recruit trainees and garner support from individuals and organizations across the region.
