Spring 2021 Newsletter
Preservation New Jersey has advocated for over a decade for the state historic tax credit. Now, read about these efforts and what we know so far about the brand new program created under the New Jersey Property Reinvestment Act.

Learn why some historic preservation professionals see the need for more incentives for homeowners and read about some municipalities that have created incentives at the local level for homeowners and commercial property owners alike.

We connect with Building Industry Network Member and PNJ Past President Scot Pannepacker, get his perspective on the impact of the NJ tax credit, and learn how his firm has worked with applicant's to the federal historic tax credit.

Our program is brand new but our neighboring state's New York and Pennsylvania have been offering state tax credits for many years. Learn about how these neighbors run their programs.

In a ceremony conducted jointly with the State Historic Preservation Office earlier this year, Preservation New Jersey presented three Preservation Leadership Awards: The Historic Preservation Commission Award, the Sarah P. Fiske Legacy and Leadership Award, and the New Preservation Initiatives Award.
