Adaptive Reuse in NJ

10 Most Endangered Updates
PNJ Intern Gillian Demetriou from Monmouth University describes her process of updating the contact information, status, and descriptions of PNJ's 10 Most. The listings, begun in 1995, now number over 200 sites. She also shares how to help PNJ update information on 10 Most sites.

Rikki Massand shares how students at TCNJ have worked on an ethnographic film for a class project, revealing some untold histories related to the William Green House. The William Green House was listed on PNJ's 10 Most list in 2015.

Rikki Massand revisits the 2008 10 Most, and 2020 TikTok sensation, the Lake Solitude Dam to see how High Bridge Borough is managing, and building on the tourism potential of the dam.

On May 17th at 11AM, Preservation NJ will announce the 2022 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in New Jersey on the steps of the State House Annex. The Announcement will be followed by a networking reception at 12:30PM at the William Trent House.

NJEDA will be hosting a free, live webinar on May 12 on the Historic Property Reinvestment Program. The webinar will focus on providing detailed information on program eligibility, how the program works and step-by-step guidance on the application process.
The Historic Preservation Office is seeking a qualified individual to administer a program of historic property survey that focuses on the identification and documentation of historic properties representing the cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity of New Jersey.
