PV Election Results: Residents Win!

By Julie A. Pace, Town Councilmember and former Vice-Mayor

Thank you to everyone who voted and supported my candidacy for mayor. It was constructive to have competition and I look forward to continuing to serve on PV Town Council!

The strong vote count for my campaign demonstrates the important voice of those who want to preserve Paradise Valley and who participate in the public process. I am energized by the support and the future of our great Town. Truly.

I am thrilled to work with a refreshed Council and pleased that it will no longer be burdened by the distractions of Paul Dembow that we and taxpayers have endured for years. The stories we could tell . . . but let's move forward and thank him for his service and not look back in the rear view mirror.

Thank you PV voters for recognizing we can do better and electing the brave, smart, and committed candidate Christine Labelle who stood up too much abuse, along with attacks targeting Ellen Andeen, to run for office to serve in a 100% volunteer position. We as a community especially honor Ellen and Christine for not being bullied and for standing up and doing the right thing to serve. They have shown their strength and resiliency to handle any obstacle and overcome it.  And, their deep family and friend support speaks volumes about their character.

My focus will continue to be on the quality of life for residential living and responsible resort development. I will continue to work on preserving our iconic mountains, open space, desert ambiance and supporting our strong public safety.

I will serve with transparency, integrity, dialogue and discussions in the public and move forward with my colleagues to support our Town’s best interests.

Thanks again for all the great comments and notes of support and votes. You are all wonderful neighbors and a great community!

Have a good day and let’s continue to work together to preserve Paradise Valley and the Town we love.

Preservationists Prevail!

Thank you Paradise Valley residents for re-electing Ellen Andeen and electing Christine Labelle.

Ellen Andeen is a financial quiz, an advocate for public safety and the police department, and a strong proponent to preserve our iconic mountains and open space. She is the second generation in her family to serve on the Town Council.  She will do an amazing job in her second term and  Ellen is a great team member.

Christine Labelle is a super mom of twins and both she and her twins grew up in PV.  She is a role model, business professional with her own real estate business, is passionate about preserving our Town and preventing the commercialization of residences. She is genuine, well-liked, smart and works well as a team player.

Both Ellen and Christine will do their homework and make decisions in the best interests of the Town.

They will serve with integrity, transparency, and both enjoy working with and engaging the public. They have engaged in lifelong public service and we know they will enjoy this next chapter in our Town's history to preserve Paradise Valley.

Congratulations on the re-election of Anna Thomasson so we will continue to see her and her dogs around Town.  We all look forward to working together with the mayor, and Councilmembers Mark Stanton and Scott Moore.  The new refreshed Town Council is seated in January 2023.

PV General Plan Proposition 467 Passes

Thank you to PV residents for voting for proposition 467 to ratify Paradise Valley’s General Plan.

Arizona state law mandates that our Town adopt a “comprehensive, long-range general plan for the development of the municipality.” These plans must be updated and adopted by the voters every 10 years.

The 2022 General Plan may be viewed at pvtogether2022.com. Thank you again!

Thank you for your support during my mayoral campaign!  I hope you have a fun trip planned in your future.  This is me taking photos at the eagle festival in Mongolia.  What a cool event!  I can't wait for my travel adventures.

Paradise Valley Town Councilmember Julie Pace proactively engages to preserve the mountains and open space and focuses on substance, action, and doing good work for the best interests of the Town, while building a sense of community.
