Setting The PACE for PV
PACE: Thank You and Town Election Is Critical
By Councilmember Julie Pace

Thank you to each person who signed or circulated a petition for me for Mayor and other quality-of-life and preservation-oriented candidates, such as Councilmember Ellen Andeen and Christine Labelle, to place us on the ballot for Mayor and Council at the August 2 election.

We appreciate residents participating in the process so we can work together to continue to fight for the quality of life in our special Town. The three of us turned in over 1,000 resident signatures! Thank you, PV!

The August 2 election is critical. Up to 6 resorts may be going through the development and SUP process. Key players of the resort development community and their lawyers and representatives are supporting others. This election matters.

School of Architecture at Cosanti
By Councilmember Julie Pace

The School of Architecture has relocated to Cosanti originals on Doubletree Road in Paradise Valley. Renowned architect Bing Hu and his daughter Amanda presented a $100,000 donation from his architectural firm, $100,000 donation from Carlisle and $55,000 from an anonymous donor to kick off Bing Hu’s challenge of matching these donations to support the new school that offers a masters program in architecture.

Another architectural firm founded the Vern Swaback scholarship to fund one student each year. Great networking and proud to see this program move forward! We all value responsible and creative contributions to the built community that fit within the Earth and surrounding environment, as Frank Loyd Wright taught.

Stories told were enjoyed by all. We love our iconic mountains in Paradise Valley and respect the architects who work with their clients to develop fabulous homes that fit into the surroundings and celebrate and preserve the special place we live in Paradise Valley.
