By Julie Pace, town councilmember and former vice-mayor
Why do I volunteer to serve you? My heart is touched by our special community and our iconic mountains. I strongly believe in giving back and doing what I can to protect our unique town and quality of life.
I have observed firsthand how working together we have made a difference to preserve Paradise Valley. I have seen the power of residents’ voices changing a decision that was heading in the wrong direction.
I have been the “canary in the coal mine”to let residents know when we need help to speak up to preserve our Town. I do not become intimidated by those who want to allow over-development, commercialization of our houses or allow slippage of the character of our Town, our iconic mountains, and open space.
We are at a tipping point with up to 6 resort projects on the horizon and attacks on one-house-per-acre zoning. I am the right person to serve as mayor at this time.
I am a creative problem-solver to involve residents and stakeholders. I am a consensus builder and have 40 years experience in leadership positions in volunteer positions and 30-years as a seasoned and experienced lawyer representing companies.
I am proud to serve as your town council member and former vice mayor and respectfully request you vote Julie Pace as mayor so that we continue to preserve our iconic mountains, open space and unique community for residential living with strong public safety, responsible resort development, limited government and no property tax.
And, I will do so with integrity and transparency. Thank you for your confidence and your vote.
