The findings from the Battelle, IMLS, and OCLC research project mark the two-year anniversary of the pandemic. The project tested the effects of the virus—with load rates similar to the Delta variant—on materials common to libraries, archives, and museums.

Third Filing Window for Emergency Connectivity Fund 
The FCC announced that it will open a third application filing window for the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Program to award at least $1 billion in remaining ECF support and address outstanding demand. The third application filing window will open on Thursday, April 28, 2022 and close on Friday, May 13, 2022. During this filing window, applicants will be able to submit ECF requests for funding to purchase eligible equipment and up to 12 months of service between July 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023 for students, school staff, and library patrons with unmet needs.
